In the life-coaching realm, the intuition development coach is burgeoning. Essentially this is a person who aims to help you relax, block out external influences and begin to better notice things that can clear a path toward making better decisions.

Much starts with simply listening and observing, and you might be surprised at how much we fail to do so adequately. Hence the need for an Intuition Development Coach to build those skills.

An intuition development coach often focuses on teaching you to “live in the now,” that is, notice and understand your self, the world immediately around you and items further out that might impact how you feel and act. The end result is supposed to be making better decisions. An intuition development coach helps you acquire knowledge without interference.

For example, your own reasoning might continue to steer you toward one idea to solve a problem. The intuition development coach might suggest drills or lessons to help you better focus on the situation at hand, and possibly to come to a different conclusion even though your reason indicates otherwise.

Does it work? Well, it does for some, because people wouldn’t be advertising their services as an intuition development coach otherwise. But what precisely do they do, and what does it mean for you?

Intuition Development Coach versus Supernatural, Paranormal, and ESP

The Oxford English Dictionary defines intuition as “the immediate apprehension of an object by the mind without the intervention of any reasoning process.”

Intuition involves providing beliefs that you might not be able to justify. Because of this, intuition (and the intuition development coach for that matter) is often studied in psychology. Then there’s the aspect of the supernatural, or extrasensory perception, commonly called ESP, which is the ability to acquire information by paranormal means separate from your own physical senses.

There is no guarantee that engaging an intuition development coach would result in you developing supernatural or ESP powers, nor do many, if any, promise that.

But many intuition development coaches believe that you can improve clairvoyance, or the awareness of people, objects or events without the help of your five senses. Whatever you might call it – sixth sense, gut instinct, hunch, vibe, etc. – an intuition development coach believes you can at least develop certain skills to get a clearer picture in life.

Varying Tactics of the Intuition Development Coach

What precisely might an intuition development coach do?

Samples abound, among them:

• Course work. One intuition development coach advertises more than 20 lessons, including exercises such as ESP games.
• Noticing. Another intuition development coach has you practice noticing things, starting with every inch of your body, and on to items immediately around you. Intuition can be in the form of a symbol or metaphor.
• Practice. Yet another intuition development coach orders action steps, such as intuitive readings, to help clients “paint a picture in their minds.”
• Quiet reflection. Not necessarily meditation, but forging time during the busy day to simply sit, reflect, and notice your body and breathing. You might notice, for example, pain in an arm, only because of how you’re lying in bed conducting this exercise. What does the pain represent?
• External influences. One intuition development coach instructs through music, and even diet (encouraging trying veganism).
• Discussion. As with several other life coaching topics, the ability for the client to talk and the intuition development coach to listen is imperative.

One Intuition Development Coach, for example, says, “Every day, I am able to hear something a client is not saying; indeed, I hear things the client doesn’t even know he or she is communicating (or feeling, or believing) at all.”
