Conflict:
- Competitive or opposing action, idea, interest etc.
- Struggles resulting from needs, wishes, beliefs, goals, expectations, external or internal demand
Resolution:
- Answering, solving, determining, or reaching an understanding.
Coach:
- A tutor, someone whom instructs, trains, and guides you.
So what does Conflict Resolution Coach mean?
From the definitions above we can say this: a Conflict is something opposing to what you want or a struggle. Resolution is the solving, answering, and determining part. The Coach is a tutor, someone that instructs and trains you, like a guide or advisor. Now that we have an understanding of what the words mean, together we can begin to understand the important role of a Conflict Resolution Coach. We can also begin to paint a picture of what a conflict resolution coach does and how this type of coach can help you.
What does a Conflict Resolution Coach do?
Someone in this profession will strive to help you with the conflicts in your life, work, family, love, work, personal, business, relationships, friendships, etc. A Conflict Resolution Coach aims to Discover, Manage, Implement, Resolve, Improve, Eliminate the conflicts that you might face. They look at your situation from outside the box while giving you advice and guidance. Your Conflict Resolution Coach can be thought of as a friend and or role model.
If the conflict is between two or more people, the Conflict Resolution Coach helps all parties involved come to an agreement that is fair for both or all involved. Each person involved must gain the feeling of winning and your Conflict Resolution Coach will help. By sharing, forgiving, letting go, giving, etc… you free yourself of conflict. Face it who wants to lose? No one; however, that’s the mentality that creates conflicts and leads to more conflicts.
How can a Conflict Resolution Coach help?
With the help of a Conflict Resolution coach you can learn to address conflicts and
be more aware to conflicts at an early stage. This helps because you can resolve conflicts much easier if you catch it early, much like cleaning your house or apartment. Would you rather clean up a small mess or wait for a small mess to result into a big mess? The answer is easy, “a small mess”, as it is easier to handle.
A Conflict Resolution Coach not only will help you with current conflicts but will give you tools to aid you. With these tools you will be able to handle future conflicts and handle them effectively. You will also become more aware of conflicts, giving you the ability to acknowledge conflict early on and work on a resolution as soon as possible.
