Principles can change with time, and a modern Missouri Life Coach should understand this. For example some religions believe key New Testament passages, such as restricting women’s roles, were historically specific – and not principles for the rest of history. A Missouri Life Coach may be considered a coach, or a personal coach. With life coaching, the aim is helping clients determine and achieve personal goals. Life coaching is two-way: a relationship designed and defined in an agreement between the client and coach, based on the client’s goals or desires.

Because the subject of principles is difficult to define and can depend on the individual, a Missouri Life Coach leans more toward personal coaching. It’s a learning process, where the Missouri Life Coach can use inquiry – asking lots of questions – and reflection to get you to talk and together identify the goals you seek. From there the Missouri Life Coach will work with you to develop strategies, and a plan, to attain stated goals. The Missouri Life Coach may demand holding the client accountable toward making progress; ultimately success or failure still is the client’s responsibility.
